Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage inventory levels, oversee stock movements, and ensure accurate record-keeping within our warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will help optimize supply chain processes, improve inventory accuracy, and support seamless order fulfillment.

Duties

Monitor and maintain inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as AS400 or SAP.
Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Manage inbound shipments, verify quantities, inspect materials for quality, and coordinate receiving activities including shipping & receiving procedures.
Support procurement activities by sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing contracts to optimize costs.
Analyze inventory data using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
Assist with demand planning and supply chain analytics to forecast needs and optimize stocking strategies.
Collaborate with logistics teams on order fulfillment, materials handling, and production planning to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Experience

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or supply chain roles with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 or SAP.
Demonstrated skills in data analysis, data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), and root cause analysis to resolve inventory discrepancies or process inefficiencies.
Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, contracts management, and supplier relations.
Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred.
Familiarity with logistics operations including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, demand planning, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize SQL or other data collection tools for reporting purposes.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
