Full Job Description

We are looking for an Executive Director for our Community The Oaks at Garden Ridge Assisted Living, & Memory Care Facility! Come and join our wonderful community!

This position requires an Administrator's license in good standing. Experience is required, along with solid leadership skills. The Executive Director will be bound by any and all Company policies and procedures in effect during your employment.

In addition to your regular compensation, you may be eligible to participate in our benefits offerings which include: health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as flexible spending account benefits. The Company provides paid holidays and utilizes a Paid Time Off "PTO" system for time off taken during the year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Utilizes the community management support team to maximize resident care, operate the facility within a budget, and uphold resident and family satisfaction.
Oversees, supports, and helps to coordinate daily operations and activities of life engagement program planning and implementation, culinary operations, interior and exterior integrity of the building, marketing efforts, and nursing and health care services.
Ensures optimal level of resident care is consistently provided, the environment is being maintained in a safe and sanitary fashion, systems are in place, and that employees are receiving appropriate supervision.
Monitors staff adherence to all company policies and procedures including Abuse Prevention, Disaster Preparedness, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Accident Safety Prevention, etc.; and ensures managers are conversant with all other internal Operational Guidelines and Policies & Procedures, and local, state, and federal regulatory standards.
Represents the community in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies and third-party vendors as appropriate; and supports, monitors, and participates in the Manager on
Duty (MOD) call rotation.
Provides support to ensure resident charts and state required documentation is accurately maintained and the community is prepared for state survey and health inspections at all times.
Maintains high staff morale and fosters a supportive work environment that promotes respect and dignity amongst staff and resident population.
Performs administrative tasks and related functions such as greeting and welcoming all visitors and assisting in the development of monthly newsletters.
Coordinates general office duties including copying, faxing, mailing, filing, and ordering supplies.
Upholds organizational goals and objectives for optimal, comprehensive family satisfaction, by supporting and/or guiding the procedures necessitating the prompt address and resolve of all issues and/or concerns of resident’s family members.
Ensures the implementation of written policies and procedures that reflect the goals and objectives of the organization and Management Team, and adheres to all governing regulatory standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.

DISCRETIONARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains resident census at optimal levels and monitors all inside sales efforts and census building activities.
Assures training and continued education requirements for all staff (including self) are maintained as required by professional certification or licensure requirements and state regulations.
Collaborates and communicates with all disciplinary supervisors and team members to review and monitor interdepartmental issues, expense control, labor control, landscaping, property maintenance, capital improvement, kitchen needs, and all other pertinent resident and/or environmental issues, on an ongoing basis, as to ensure every aspect of resident care is provided at optimal levels.
Engages residents in meaningful conversation and activities related to their individual interests, functions as a Team Leader and Role Model, and sets a precedent for all staff members to do the same.
Monitors community petty cash funds, ensures all managers operate within established budgets, and assures adequate financial records and cost reports are submitted to appropriate departments in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
Coordinates complete move-in process for all new residents.
