Full Job Description

Peak Behavioral Health is seeking a Bilingual Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at our Oklahoma City or Edmond location! We are looking for someone that is positive, personable, and detail oriented.

Peak Behavioral Health has multidisciplinary clinics in Oklahoma that include Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and ABA. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that provides a unified approach in helping children with autism and other disabilities.

Essential Functions:

Provide the initial warm welcome to all patients and guests.
Provide excellent customer service by phone, in person and electronically.
Schedule initial intake and evaluation appointments Behavioral Health Providers.
Coordinate appointments between clients and Providers.
Manage Provider calendars and optimize scheduling efficiency.
Reschedule missed or cancelled appointments and conduct outreach for no-show clients.
Maintain accurate appointment records within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Schedule evaluations from the wait list, with the ultimate goal of evaluation schedules filled 3-6 months in advance.
Scan and upload documents for electronic file storage.
Maintain all clinical records in accordance with HIPAA.

Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in scheduling required (medical scheduling experience preferred)
Bilingual:
English and Spanish
Fluent in both written and verbal communication
Excellent communication skills with other providers and families
Must have great problem-solving skills
Must be highly organized and have a great eye for details
Proficient in using technology
Experience with Google Sheets and Google Drive required
Passionate about helping children and their families
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
Experience working with Medicaid, private health insurance, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software/systems preferred

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Scheduling Coordinator to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the Scheduling Coordinator is regularly required to speak and hear sufficiently to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. The Scheduling Coordinator’s vision must be adequate to read correspondence, computer screens, forms, etc. The position requires good manual dexterity. The Scheduling Coordinator is required to sit and use a computer for prolonged periods of time. The position requires the ability to reach with hands and arms; and occasionally requires the ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift and move up to 25 pounds.
