About the Practice

WassermanUlitsky Dermatology is an award-winning practice led by board-certified dermatologists dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in general, surgical, Mohs, and cosmetic dermatology. Proudly serving Nokomis, Florida and surrounding communities, we provide comprehensive dermatologic treatments in our newly opened, state-of-the-art 11,000-square-foot facility.

Summary of Position
The Practice Manager is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and overall performance of all functional areas within the practice. This role ensures that clinical operations, patient services, billing and revenue cycle management, marketing, employee onboarding, training, and staff development are functioning effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational goals.

Success in this position requires balancing active operational leadership with strategic practice management. The Practice Manager is expected to maintain a strong presence throughout the practice, working closely with team members, providing coaching and mentorship, reinforcing performance standards, addressing operational challenges in real time, and fostering an exceptional patient and employee experience.

As the primary on-site operational leader, the Practice Manager is accountable for driving consistency, compliance, accountability, and collaboration across all departments. This role continually evaluates processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and leads initiatives that enhance operational performance, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial outcomes. The Practice Manager develops, implements, and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and best practices that create efficiencies, improve scalability, and support sustainable growth.

Working in close partnership with organizational leadership, the Practice Manager translates strategic objectives into actionable plans, monitors key performance indicators, optimizes patient flow and resource utilization, and ensures the successful execution of practice-wide initiatives. This role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, healthcare management, business administration or related field preferred
Minimum of 4 years of medical practice management or healthcare operations experience in dermatology required
Proven experience leading process improvement initiatives, developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and driving operational efficiencies.
Prior experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff in a fast-paced clinical environment required.

Proficiency with healthcare EMR systems, Nextech preferred, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
Must be flexible and available to work shifts that include days, evenings until 7:30pm, and Saturdays.
