Job Overview

The Residential Roofing Project Manager is responsible for overseeing residential construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on managing multiple projects, coordinating schedules, and maintaining effective communication with clients and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in various construction disciplines, enabling them to tackle a wide range of tasks efficiently.

We are seeking a Residential Field Project Manager to oversee roofing installations from start to finish, ensuring every job is executed to the highest standards. If you are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can lead crews while ensuring top-quality customer experiences, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Project Setup

Conduct door-to-door customer introductions or leave company information card.

Capture and upload pre-existing damage photos to JobNimbus.

Confirm vehicles are cleared from driveway/garage before work begins.

Verify all materials match correct color, type, and specifications.

Check drip edge color and ensure delivery is complete with no missing items.

Ensure plywood is in place for garage protection and tarps are set for property protection (with photo documentation).

Apply cushion protection to all ladders.

Enforce jobsite policies and maintain professionalism at all times.

During Project:

Monitor crews for efficient material usage and minimize waste.

Protect grass, landscaping, and property from equipment damage.

Confirm proper underlayment installation; verify decking exposure and new felt usage only.

Inspect caulking around chimney, flashing, vents, and skylights.

Oversee continuous site cleanup and enforce safety standards.

Post-Project:

Ensure full cleanup of all trash and debris; check gutters, bushes, and trees.

Roll yard with magnet to collect nails.

Perform final roof inspection for workmanship quality.

Walk property with customer for completion sign-off.

Upload required photos and notes (decking, additional material usage, etc.) into JobNimbus.

Confirm trailer removal and jobsite restoration.

Notify production manager of incomplete projects, damages, or escalations immediately.

Bonus Performance Goals:

Earn a positive customer review.

Ensure zero property damage during the job.

Achieve seamless project execution with no customer complaints.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in roofing, construction, or project management preferred.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to enforce company policies and maintain professional jobsite standards.

Attention to detail with documentation, photos, and reporting.

Comfortable using JobNimbus or similar project management software (training provided).

Skills

Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and their safe operation.
Experience in various construction disciplines including roofing, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, remodeling, welding, tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco work, metal stud framing, frame carpentry, restoration projects.
Experience in heavy lifting as part of job responsibilities.
Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to project management.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
