Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are an established Construction Company in Clackamas County looking for an Accounting Manager that can join our team.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our financial operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. Your expertise will drive efficient financial management, support strategic decision-making, and uphold the highest standards of accounting practices. Duties

Lead and supervise the accounting team to ensure accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulatory standards.
Oversee general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable management, and bank reconciliations to maintain precise financial records.
Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic planning initiatives

Qualifications:

Proven experience in accounting and finance roles with a strong background in corporate accounting principles.
Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting areas including Quickbooks.
Proficiency with financial software such as Quickbooks, or other leading accounting systems; advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications—especially spreadsheets—and financial report writing tools.
Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, journal entries, and accrual accounting practices.
Experience managing accounts payable/receivable processes along with bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis.
Knowledge of specialized areas such as non-profit accounting, governmental accounting standards or securities law is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to interpret complex financial concepts clearly and accurately.
Ability to mentor team members effectively while handling confidential information with integrity.
