Job Summary

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by greeting guests, managing the check-in and check-out process, answering inquiries, handling reservations, and ensuring guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay. This position serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
Complete guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
Process reservations, cancellations, and room assignments.
Handle guest requests, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally.
Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate financial records.
Maintain knowledge of room availability, rates, promotions, and hotel policies.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready for guests.
Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and welcoming.
Maintain guest confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
Follow hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures.
Assist with administrative duties and other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous hotel, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Basic computer proficiency; experience with hotel property management systems is a plus.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Ability to use office equipment, including computers, telephones, and printers.

Preferred Skills

Cash handling experience.
Knowledge of hotel reservation systems.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
