Full Job Description

Content Development Specialist

We are seeking a creative Content Development Specialist to tell the stories behind our restaurants, retail stores, events, and lifestyle brands. These brands are made up of The Flora-Bama, Coastal Orange Beach, The Orange Beach Store and potential other businesses in our current markets.

This role will be responsible for capturing, creating, editing, and publishing engaging photo, video, and written content that inspires guests to visit, shop, dine, and connect with our brands across multiple digital platforms. The position is heavily focused on generating compelling photography and videography across businesses. The position reports to the Marketing Director.

Responsibilities:

● All photography needed for the businesses (merchandise for website and for social, food, lifestyle, live music, special events, etc…)

● All videography needed for the business (event recap videos, lifestyle videos, merchandise shoots, music videos, and all marketing oriented concepts)

● Effectively operate drone to capture video and photography

● Craft and execute content strategies in alignment with marketing objectives and goals.

● Work closely with other teams to strategize and create website content emphasizing style and layout for maximum impact

● Create content that aligns with brand voice across multiple business units

● Produce engaging short-and long-form video content

● Utilize AI-powered creative tools to improve workflow efficiency, assist with editing, generate concepts, and accelerate content production while maintaining brand quality

● Capture the energy of live events, hospitality experiences, retail launches and community engagement through creative storytelling

● Create, shoot, and edit compelling online material that incorporates advanced video and photography techniques

● Generate, edit, proofread, enhance, and publish brand relevant content consistently in accordance with the Marketing Calendar

● Develop and maintain a Production Calendar to ensure the timely delivery of all projects

● Ensure legal compliance with all laws including copyright and data protection

● Willingly handle any other assigned duties as needed

Requirements:

● BA or degree preferred in photography, videography, media or visual communications or marketing

● 5 years relevant work experience (Restaurant/Hospitality preferred)

● Very strong photography, videography, storytelling, and editing skills with a passion for all

● Strong writing skills

● Highly organized with experience in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment against timelines

● A customer-focused attitude

● Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, strong drive for results with a proven track record

● Excellent understanding of team dynamics and proven leadership abilities in a collaborative team environment

● Ability to lift up to 50lbs

● Willingness to travel between business locations and work occasional evenings, weekends and special events.

Starting at $60,000 per year based on experience

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
