Full Job Description

Homes Direct is seeking a highly organized and motivated Permit Runner / Permit Processor to join our team at our Perris, CA location.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring manufactured home projects move efficiently through the permitting and installation process. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, utility companies, and government agencies, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This possition is perfect for someone that is retired in construction or has previous experience running permits.

Bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, submit, and track permit applications with city, county, and state agencies
Coordinate with customers, contractors, installers, utility companies, engineers, and government agencies
Monitor permit status and follow up regularly to ensure timely approvals
Maintain accurate records, files, and project documentation
Schedule inspections and coordinate required project milestones
Obtain and process required documents, including site plans, engineering documents, utility information, and supporting paperwork
Run permits and documents to local agencies and project-related appointments as needed
Provide status updates to management, sales staff, and customers
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to manufactured home installations
Assist with administrative and project coordination duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and computer systems
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
Experience in permitting, construction, manufactured housing, project coordination, escrow, title, or related fields is required
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Schedule:

Full-time
Monday – Friday
Occasional travel to local city, county, and state offices may be required
