Shift/Hours/Location: M-F, 6am-4:30pm (Schedule is tentative to change based on business needs), Mesa, AZ
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

Daily communication with production teams to prioritize maintenance work.
-
Review and prioritize work orders daily, for repair and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment, including working on rooftops and outdoors in all weather conditions to maintain HVAC units and other various equipment.

Estimate material requirements and repair and/or replace defective parts as needed; analyze/troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and other operations problems and take corrective action; report all unsafe equipment, machinery, and practices to the Maintenance Supervisor/Department Manager.

Develop and implement maintenance activities as listed, preventive maintenance, work order system, critical parts inventory, field equipment inventory, maintenance skill development, predictive maintenance.

Follow 5 S system, maintain general work area.

Demonstrate knowledge in the following trades: Basic HVAC Equipment, Process pumps (mag drive and diaphragm pumps), Motors, Overhead door maintenance, Reverse Osmosis (RO)/Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems.

Provide technical support and resources as necessary to every department in the plant regarding machinery, equipment, and any other facility issues.

Analyze and troubleshoot HVAC, mechanical issues, and work with skilled electrician(s) to troubleshoot electrical issues; implement corrective actions.

Maintain inventory, and quality of tools, parts, repair supplies and other materials; obtain quotes for replacement parts and materials and prepare requisitions as needed; fabricate parts not commercially available using hand and machine tools; maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

Report unsafe equipment and practices to supervisors or management.

Write procedures and maintain records of repairs, calibrations, tests, etc.

Keep detailed service records to ensure compliance and operational readiness.

Uphold all MLI policies and “MLI Code of Conduct.”

Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations.

Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration is required. It is the employee’s commitment to ensure that the Company’s actual practices and procedures are exercised as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software, CMMS – Equipment Software (or equivalent).

Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar

TECHNIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Process & Fluid Systems
-
Centrifugal Pumps: Proficient in the operation, teardown, and maintenance of Mag-drive centrifugal pumps; specialized in seal-less technology and fluid transfer optimization.

Diaphragm Pumps: Experienced in troubleshooting and repairing Air-Operated Double Diaphragm (AODD) pumps used for abrasive, corrosive, or viscous materials.
-
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems: Skilled in the monitoring, membrane cleaning (CIP), and preventative maintenance of industrial water purification systems.
-
Piping & Plumbing: Expert in PVC/CPVC plumbing layouts, including solvent welding, pressure testing, and chemical-grade system repairs.
-
Air Compressor: Maintenance and oversight of industrial air compressors, including pneumatic line routing, regulators, and air dryer systems.

Facility & HVAC Maintenance
-
HVAC Preventative Maintenance: Experienced in routine PMs for commercial units, including filter replacements, belt inspections, and system performance monitoring.
-
Coil & Condenser Care: Proficient in condenser coil cleaning and debris removal to ensure optimal heat exchange and energy efficiency.
-
Industrial Access: Specialized in the mechanical repair and adjustment of overhead doors, high-speed roll-up doors, and dock leveling equipment.

Building Systems: Routine maintenance of facility lighting (LED retrofits, ballast replacement) and commercial door hardware.

Equipment Operation
- Material Handling: Experience operating Forklifts (Sit-down/Stand-up) for high-volume loading, unloading, and inventory management.

Aerial Platforms: Proficient in Scissor Lift operation for overhead maintenance, electrical work, and installations at height.

SALARY & BENEFITS
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $30hr - $44hr

WORKING CONDITIONS
Duties are generally performed indoors in a high purity manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. When working in the presence of safety hazards, the employee is expected to follow company safety rules and use proper personal protective equipment such as: hardhat, safety glasses and full leather shoes, etc. Employees will work in a covered Process Safety Management (PSM) environment containing threshold quantities of flammable liquids and/or gasses that have a potential for fire or explosion. Employees working in this environment are required to be free from devices that are not considered intrinsically safe. Examples of devices that may not be intrinsically safe include Insulin Pumps, Pacemakers, Pain Management devices, etc.
