Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Commission Payable / Accounting Assistant supports daily accounting operations, commission processing, and representative payment activities across multiple companies. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing commissions and deposits, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting internal operations in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Commission Processing & Accounting

Prepare and enter commission payments into Sage Intacct for four companies
Assist with commission processing, reconciliation, and payments for:
Concorde Asset Management (CAM)
Concorde Investment Services (CIS)
Concorde Insurance Agency (CIA)
Set up commission packages for representatives
Process representative/advisor payments through ADP
Enter journal and general ledger entries in Sage Intacct
Process daily deposits and uploads from NSCC/DST
Research, reconcile, and resolve daily exceptions

Operations & Trade Processing

Process Operations queue for completed and approved business across all companies
Input new client information into trade software (Maestro)
Manually enter trades that do not automatically download for commission payouts

Administrative & Support Duties

Respond to sponsor correspondence and representative inquiries
Complete requests for commission information from representatives
Support department requests related to audits, policy issues, and client/representative information
Attend staff meetings and respond to internal emails in a timely manner
Assist with special projects as assigned by the CFO
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications & SkillsRequired Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of commission payment and practical accounting experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Excellent problem-solving, follow-up, and multitasking abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sage Intact

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in the Financial Services industry
Knowledge of FINRA, SEC, and state rules and regulations
Experience with Maestro software or similar commission-based software
Previous commission processing experience preferred
