Hudson Strands is a new legal cannabis dispensary opening this summer in Wappingers Falls, New York. We are currently hiring for the following key roles to launch our dispensary:
Positions at a Glance
Inventory Manager (Full-Time): $66,300–$75,000/year + incentives + healthcare stipend
As the Dispensary Manager, you will lead all daily operations and set the standard for our team and customer experience. Key responsibilities include:The Inventory Manager will own our product pipeline from forecasting through fulfillment, ensuring shelves are stocked and records are airtight. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee all inventory operations, control procedures, and management systems
- Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and develop replenishment schedules
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships, negotiate pricing and delivery terms
- Supervise and train inventory team members; create schedules and evaluate performance
- Generate inventory reports and analysis; identify risks and implement loss-prevention measures
- Ensure all inventory management complies with cannabis regulations and maintain proper documentation
- Additional operational and sales responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- 5+ years of inventory management experience
- Experience in cannabis or retail industry ideal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Inventory Manager (Full-Time): $25–$28/hour
Shift Supervisors lead the floor team during their shift, ensuring excellent customer service, compliance, and smooth daily operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and coach budtenders on shift; delegate tasks and ensure coverage
- Open and close the store following established procedures
- Monitor compliance with ID verification, transaction limits, and all cannabis regulations
- Handle customer escalations and resolve concerns with professionalism
- Assist with cash handling, end-of-day reconciliation, and POS troubleshooting
- Communicate shift performance, incidents, and inventory needs to management
- Additional operational and sales responsibilities as needed
- Role may be expanded to include marketing, partnerships, and sales opportunities based on candidate
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in retail, hospitality, or cannabis
- Strong product knowledge and customer service skills
- Ability to stay calm and lead under pressure during high-traffic periods
FOH Associate / Budtender (Full-Time / Part-Time): $20–$22/hour + tips
Our Budtenders are the face of Hudson Strands. You will guide customers through their experience with warmth, knowledge, and professionalism. Key responsibilities include:
- Greet customers warmly; assist with browsing, product selection, and educated recommendations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all cannabis products, features, effects, and uses
- Process transactions accurately using POS system; handle cash, card, and digital payments securely
- Verify customer identification (21+) and follow all state and local cannabis regulations
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory counts, and maintain organized product displays
- Keep work area clean and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management
- Additional operational and sales responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service or retail experience preferred
- Knowledge of New York cannabis products and market preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
