Full Job Description

Our company is seeking a Kennel Technician to clean facilities, sanitize surfaces and equipment, and animals. The Kennel technician will also be responsible for reporting incidents and accidents, keeping accurate documentation and performing daily recordkeeping. We've designed this position to suit the needs of both our animals and the technician him/herself – so the ideal candidate is someone who can work with minimal supervision, meets deadlines, and likes to be creative in the workplace.

Responsibilities:

Observe animal appearance and activity for general physical condition, obvious signs of illness, disease and discontent.
Handle animals as required and restrain animals.
Report signs of illness, disease, injury or unusual activity to Medical Team
Ensure that cages and animals are properly numbered and identified.
Clean, disinfect and maintain kennels, cages, runs and stalls as often as is necessary to ensure no cages or kennels are soiled and odors are not apparent.
Perform general cleaning in other areas of the kennel/shelter to control the spread of disease. Wash and sterilize water and food bowls.
Launder and dry towels and blankets.
Pick up any trash and stool material. Empty trash.
Record information such as feeding schedules, appearance, behavior of animals
Work well with all employees and ensure that your actions support the shelter and its mission
Ensure all areas are fully stocked on a daily basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.

PLEASE NOTE WEEKEND AVAILABILTY IS A MUST - SATURDAY AND/OR SUNDAY

LOOKING TO HIRE FOR SHIFTS BETWEEN THURSDAY AND MONDAY. THER ARE NO MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY POSITIONS OPEN AT THIS TIME.

WE ARE OPEN TO HIRING CANIDATES WITH FLEXIBILITY ON WORK DAYS WEEK TO WEEK.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
