Position: Community Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Department: Multifamily Operations

Supervisor: Regional Manager / Area Director

Location:

The Community Manager is responsible for driving financial performance, operational excellence, and delivering outstanding customer service at one or more residential communities. This role provides leadership and oversight for both operations and maintenance teams, ensuring brand standards and business goals are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee all financial aspects of the property, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy.
Review and approve contracts within budget authority limits.
Prepare monthly operating reports and executive summaries.

Operations & Compliance:

Ensure properties meet brand standards in presentation, cleanliness, and maintenance.
Monitor lease renewals, move-ins, and move-outs.
Maintain accurate knowledge of inventory, pricing, and market competition.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.

Team Leadership:

Coach, develop, and empower on-site teams.
Conduct performance evaluations and staff development.
Oversee recruitment and scheduling of team members.

Sales & Marketing:

Lead leasing efforts and renewal programs.
Participate in revenue management strategy calls.
Adjust marketing and operating strategies based on competitive analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to maximize revenue and control expenses.
Lead leasing and marketing efforts to maintain high occupancy and resident retention.
Supervise and develop on-site staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Ensure timely and professional communication with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
3–5 years of property management experience, preferably in multifamily housing.
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi).
