Full Job Description

Gary Platt Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance team. This position is ideal for someone beginning their accounting career or an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting daily accounting operations. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. This would give someone the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with SAP, one of the world's leading enterprise software systems and gain cross functional experience working with Purchasing, Customer Service, Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in SAP.

· Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation

· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.

· Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments.

· Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and payment records.

· Respond professionally to vendor payment inquiries.

· Assist with month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.

· Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.

· Support accounting and administrative projects as assigned.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Previous Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, or accounting experience.
Experience using SAP or another ERP system.
