Duties

Fabricate and finish dental prostheses such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant restorations with precision using advanced laboratory techniques and CAD/CAM software.
Utilize digital design tools for creating accurate models of dental restorations, ensuring optimal fit and function.
Perform laboratory procedures including wax-up, casting, ceramics application, and polishing to produce durable and aesthetic prosthetic devices.
Collaborate closely with dentists to interpret treatment plans, medical documentation, and patient-specific requirements for custom prosthetic fabrication.
Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all laboratory processes to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Conduct quality assessments using tools like micrometers and other measurement devices to guarantee precise dimensions and fit of restorations.
Stay current with advancements in dental materials, equipment, and digital technology such as 3D CAD modeling and CAM software to enhance fabrication efficiency.

Qualifications

Certified Dental Technician (CDT) credential with proven laboratory experience in removable prosthodontics, full arch restoration, implantology, and complete denture fabrication.
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology essential for accurate communication and documentation.
Proficiency in digital design for dental prosthetics utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software.
Hands-on experience with ceramics, dental equipment maintenance, and laboratory techniques required for high-quality prosthetic fabrication.
Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for documenting patient assessments and medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
Ability to interpret medical imaging data relevant to implantology and prosthodontics for precise restoration planning.
Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and knowledge of infection control practices necessary for maintaining a sterile lab environment.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required; however, adaptability to diverse patient needs is essential for success in this role.
