Full Job Description

SUMMARY: This CNC Machinist – Class A position is responsible for setting up and operating multi-axis CNC lathes. 1st and 2nd shift positions available (with 2nd shift differential)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Set-up and run multi-axis CNC lathes.

Inspect own work and make any off-set changes as required to ensure an acceptable first piece.

Use standard inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gages.

Read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.

Change any tools required and hold tight tolerances.

Meet production schedules and quality standards.

Troubleshoot own work and assist others with set-up and/or production difficulties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent required

3-5 years’ experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC lathes

Must have good shop math skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be very detail oriented, organized, have good communication skills and be a team player.

Must be able to work quickly and accurately with little supervision.
