Full Job Description

CIS Management, Inc. - Award Winning Property Management Company is presently hiring a Property/Real Estate Accountant with 1-3 years of experience who has strong growth potential. This position will require a lot of analysis and reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting, senior level management, as well as the financial reporting.

Will consider a recent college graduate with degree in Accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform monthly, quarterly and year end closings on accrual and US GAAP basis
Preparation of Financial Statements
Prepare and analyze operating statements
Budget analysis
Review and analyze current and future cash requirements for properties
Prepare operating budgets in conjunction with property managers
Perform balance sheet analysis/work papers
Prepare for yearly audit and tax filings
Joint venture reporting
Very close coordination with Property Managers
Knowledge of Property Management accounting software, experience with Yardi is a strong plus
Strong Word/ Excel skills

Qualifications The successful candidate will have the following attributes to perform the essential functions of this position:

BS in Accounting.
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Must be able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Must have good communication skills
Must be able to work well independently as well as with others.

Miscellaneous

1-3 years’ experience in accounting.
Yardi experience a plus.

Will consider a recent college graduate with degree in Accounting.
