This is not a traditional clinic manager position.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Clinical Operations is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and organizational direction across Neaman Plastic Surgery's clinical and patient-facing departments.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this individual will lead, develop, and inspire department managers and clinical teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and exceptional patient care. The Director of Clinical Operations will partner closely with physicians and executive leadership to optimize operations, strengthen employee engagement, improve the patient experience, and support the continued growth and long-term success of the organization. This leader will be expected to spend significant time in the departments, coaching leaders, supporting teams, identifying opportunities for improvement, and leading by example.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Leadership & Organizational Development
- Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, partnering with the Executive Director and physician leadership to execute the organization's strategic vision.
- Provide leadership, direction, and accountability across multiple clinical and operational departments.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, professionalism, continuous improvement, and exceptional patient care.
- Lead organizational change initiatives while effectively communicating vision and expectations.
- Assist in developing long-term operational strategies that support sustainable growth and scalability.
Leadership Development & Team Performance
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop high-performing department managers and future organizational leaders.
- Establish clear performance expectations while providing regular coaching, feedback, and accountability.
- Conduct leadership meetings, performance evaluations, and succession planning initiatives.
- Promote employee engagement, professional development, and retention through strong leadership and mentorship.
- Address employee performance concerns promptly while fostering a positive and respectful work environment.
Clinical Operations & Operational Excellence
- Oversee the daily operations of Plastic Surgery, Medi Spa, Wellness, Hand Therapy, Nursing, Patient Services, and other assigned departments.
- Optimize staffing models, patient flow, scheduling efficiency, provider utilization, and operational workflows.
- Identify operational challenges and implement sustainable solutions that improve efficiency and consistency.
- Develop, implement, and continually refine policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Ensure all departments consistently deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining operational excellence.
Financial Performance & Business Growth
- Monitor departmental performance through key operational and financial metrics.
- Partner with leadership to develop annual budgets, staffing plans, productivity goals, and operational initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, increase revenue, manage expenses, and optimize resource utilization.
- Monitor provider productivity, scheduling efficiency, retail performance, inventory management, and departmental accountability.
- Utilize EMR, scheduling, financial, and operational reporting to identify trends and drive data-informed decision-making.
Patient Experience, Quality & Compliance
- Champion an exceptional patient experience across every department and patient interaction.
- Partner with providers and department leaders to improve patient satisfaction, service recovery, and communication.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, HIPAA, OSHA, infection prevention, and organizational policies.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes, operational consistency, and patient satisfaction.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous quality improvement.
Strategic Growth & Innovation
- Partner with Executive Leadership to evaluate new service lines, technologies, operational improvements, and growth opportunities.
- Lead implementation of new systems, software, and operational initiatives across the organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve scalability while maintaining the organization's commitment to exceptional patient care.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, facility expansions, or new business initiatives as appropriate.
- Continuously evaluate industry trends, best practices, and emerging healthcare innovations to strengthen organizational performance.

Within your first year, you will:

- Utilize data, key performance indicators, and operational reporting to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
- Successfully lead organizational change while maintaining employee engagement, operational stability, and a positive workplace culture.
- Partner with the Executive Director to support strategic initiatives, organizational growth, and long-term business objectives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting with responsibility for multiple departments, managers, or service lines.
- Demonstrated success leading operational improvement initiatives, building high-performing teams, and driving organizational performance.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop leaders while fostering accountability and employee engagement.
- Strong strategic thinking, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of an organization.
- Experience managing budgets, staffing models, operational metrics, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Ability to lead through growth, change, and organizational transformation while maintaining a positive culture and high employee engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Nursing (MSN), or a related healthcare field.
- Current RN, BSN, or other applicable clinical licensure.
- Leadership experience in plastic surgery, ambulatory surgery centers, medical aesthetics, specialty medicine, wellness, rehabilitation, or multi-specialty outpatient healthcare.
- Experience overseeing multiple locations, departments, or service lines.
- Experience supporting physician practices experiencing rapid growth and organizational expansion.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance, accreditation standards, quality improvement, patient safety, and operational best practices.
- Experience utilizing EMR, practice management, scheduling, financial, and operational reporting systems to drive performance.

Compensation
- Competitive annual salary of $150,000–$175,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated leadership success.
