Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Bilingual Human Resources Generalist (English / Spanish) supports the day-to-day administration of human resources programs and processes, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, and HR recordkeeping. This role serves as a resource to employees and managers while helping ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices. Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required to effectively communicate with employees, conduct HR meetings, explain benefits and policies, and support day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

Assist with recruiting activities, including posting positions, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Coordinate pre-employment processes, including background checks, reference checks, and new hire documentation.
Facilitate new hire onboarding and checklist and orientation activities.
Maintain recruitment records and applicant tracking systems.
Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.

Employee Relations & Performance Support

Respond to employee questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and HR programs.
Assist with employee relations matters and escalate complex issues to leadership as appropriate.
Support performance management processes, including review scheduling and documentation tracking.
Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information and workplace matters.

Benefits, Payroll & HR Administration

Lead full payroll administration, including processing payroll, maintaining accurate employee data, ensuring timely and accurate payroll transactions, and processing all required payroll documentation.
Administer employee benefit programs, including group health insurance, dental insurance, short term/long term disability insurance and life insurance plans, COBRA and FMLA administration.
Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications.
Maintain compliant employee records within HRIS and personnel files.
Prepare HR reports and track key HR metrics, including turnover, hiring activity, and training completion.
Coordinate the Company’s workers’ compensation program, serving as liaison between employees, medical providers and the insurance carrier, including claim administration, documentation, post-accident drug testing and return-to-work coordination.
Assist with leave administration, including FMLA and ADA accommodations.

Compliance & Recordkeeping

Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Manage Form I-9 administration, E-Verify processing, and employment verification requests.
Maintain records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, professional certifications and/or licensures, background checks, reference checks, performance evaluations, job descriptions and documentation.
Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and Company policies.
Assist with policy updates, employee handbook revisions, and HR procedure documentation.
Support internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
Maintains the confidentiality of employee and business information in accordance with Company policy and applicable privacy laws.
Lead OSHA tracking and annual reporting.

Training & Development

Coordinate employee training programs, including onboarding, compliance, safety, and professional development training.
Track training completion and maintain training records.
Assist with employee development initiatives and career growth programs.
Support company-wide communication of HR programs and learning opportunities.

General HR Support

Assist with special HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
Partner with managers and employees to support a positive workplace culture.
Provide administrative support to HR leadership as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of three (3) of progressive Human Resources experience in recruiting, employee relations, benefits, payroll or generalist responsibilities required.
Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Experience in a manufacturing, healthcare, or regulated environment is a plus.
HR Professional Certification through SHRM or HRCI preferred.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Experience with HRIS, payroll, or applicant tracking systems preferred.
Strong administrative, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.

Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
Ability to move throughout office and operational areas as needed.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
