Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Engineering Manager with extensive foundry experience to lead our manufacturing engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will drive process improvements, oversee production operations, and ensure the highest quality standards are met. Your expertise in foundry processes, automation, and project management will empower our team to achieve operational excellence and continuous innovation.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional teams to optimize foundry processes, including casting, molding, and finishing operations
Develop and manage project schedules for new product launches and process upgrades
Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions
Oversee the design and modification of factory layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo
Program and maintain industrial automation systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and robotics
Drive process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and quality improvement programs in engineering
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to enhance tooling, fabrication techniques, and assembly line efficiency
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and maintain documentation for schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and industrial equipment

Skills

Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within a foundry or metal casting environment
Strong project scheduling, project management skills, and factory experience
Expertise in root cause analysis, process engineering, and continuous improvement strategies
Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo; experience with schematics and technical drawings
Skilled in programming industrial automation equipment including CNC machines, CAM programming, vision inspection systems, and robot programming
Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is a plus
Mechanical knowledge related to welding, fabrication, tooling, CNC machining, CNC programming, and industrial equipment maintenance
Familiarity with Lean management principles, Six Sigma manufacturing practices, GD&T standards, and quality assurance protocols
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams in a manufacturing setting
Excellent troubleshooting skills in engineering troubleshooting scenarios involving complex machinery or automation systems
