Full Job Description

Job Summary

Borroughs, LLC is seeking a highly capable and service-oriented Technical Support Coordinator to play a critical role in the successful sale, implementation, and support of Borroughs products. This position serves as a central technical resource for the organization, providing comprehensive support to outside sales, internal departments, and external customers throughout the entire project lifecycle — from proposal development and order entry through production, installation, and post-sale support.

The Technical Support Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales and implementation of Borroughs, LLC products in any way necessary, including generating accurate and compelling product proposals, producing CAD-based installation and permit drawings, coordinating third-party purchases for system integration, and resolving technical questions for both internal teams and external customers. This role requires strong technical aptitude, CAD proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure Borroughs delivers high-quality, fully integrated solutions to the market.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Proposal Support

· Provide direct technical support to outside sales representatives throughout the sales process.

· Generate detailed and accurate product proposals, layouts, and technical documentation to support customer quotations.

· Assist sales at the time of order entry to ensure product configurations, specifications, and system integrations are complete, accurate, and manufacturable.

· Serve as a technical liaison between sales, engineering, and operations to support successful project handoff and execution.

-Update Engineering drawings

CAD & Technical Documentation

· Create, maintain, and revise CAD drawings related to Borroughs product systems, including installation drawings and layout plans.

· Develop permit-package drawings suitable for Professional Engineer (PE) review and approval when required.

· Ensure all drawings and documentation meet Borroughs standards, applicable codes, and customer requirements.

· Maintain organized records of CAD files, revisions, and project documentation.

System Integration & Outside Purchases

· Support the coordination and technical integration of outside-purchased components and third-party products into Borroughs systems.

· Verify compatibility, specifications, and documentation for externally sourced products used in customer solutions.

· Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and vendors to ensure seamless integration into Borroughs product offerings.

Internal & External Technical Support

· Provide technical support to all internal customers, including production, shipping, customer service, and engineering, as it relates to the sale and implementation of Borroughs products.

· Serve as a technical resource for external customers, including end users, distributors, systems integrators, and Borroughs’ own sales force.

· Respond to technical inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and support problem resolution throughout manufacturing, shipping, installation, and post-installation phases.

· Assist in resolving field-related issues by providing drawings, technical clarification, or system guidance as needed.

Required Qualifications

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

· Proficiency in CAD software, including but not limited to AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support, CAD drafting, engineering support, or a related role.

· Strong ability to read, interpret, and develop technical drawings and layout plans.

· Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills & Experience

· Experience supporting sales teams in a manufacturing or engineered-products environment.

· Familiarity with document control systems and revision management.

· Experience working with engineered systems that include third-party or outside-purchased components.

· Understanding of manufacturing processes, installation requirements, and field conditions.

· Project coordination or cross-functional support experience.
