About Us:

Odyssey Charter School, Inc., located on Florida’s beautiful Space Coast, is a high-performing, Cognia-accredited charter school network dedicated to holistic, whole-child education. We are proud to operate a collaborative, mission-driven organization that values academic achievement, operational excellence, and employee well-being.We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Coordinator to support the daily functions of the Human Resources department. This is a critical support role responsible for helping implement HR policies across our three school sites. The HR Coordinator will report directly to the HR Manager and work closely with the Director of School Operations.

Position Overview:

As the HR Coordinator, you’ll play an essential role in the daily HR operations of our school system. You will support the HR Manager in maintaining compliance, onboarding new staff, supporting payroll accuracy, and managing employee records, benefits communication, and more. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a mission-driven, fast-paced educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures across three school sites.Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with organizational, state, and federal guidelines.Coordinate fingerprinting, background checks, and teacher certification verifications to ensure timely and complete hiring compliance.Support payroll operations by verifying employee time, attendance, and leave data in collaboration with school bookkeepers.Double-check HRIS system entries for salary accuracy and benefits selections.Communicate employee benefits (health, vision, dental, life, disability, 401k) during onboarding and open enrollment.Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR procedures, escalating complex matters to the HR Manager.Help organize onboarding sessions and training related to the Employee Handbook and school policies.Ensure HR documentation meets compliance for FMLA, workers’ compensation, and visa processing under the HR Manager’s oversight.Coordinate logistics for HR meetings with school principals and operations staff.

Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.1–3 years of HR administrative or coordinator experience preferred.Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Experience in educational or nonprofit environments a plus.
