Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator and Project Manager in the Drywall, Metal Stud, Acoustical Ceiling construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role involves overseeing the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for various construction projects while ensuring compliance with contracts and company standards. Salary is based on experience.

Duties

Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
Review contracts and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing to inform estimating practices.
Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimating.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
Demonstrated ability in negotiation skills, effectively managing contracts, and pricing strategies.
Experience in cost control processes within the construction industry.
Familiarity with various aspects of project management, including scheduling and resource allocation.
Previous experience working on construction sites is preferred to understand practical implications of estimates.
