Full Job Description

Millwood is growing rapidly and we are searching for experienced candidates for the position of line cook/prep cook. We appreciate you taking the time too review the list of qualifications and to apply for the position. Summary of Position:

The Line Cook, is capable of executing all salad, sandwich, grill, pan and fry items while meeting presentation and time standards, assists others in the kitchen and maintaining a clean, well-stocked and organized work area.

Responsibilities for line cook:

Inspects and verifies the quality and quantity of products received from vendors
Prepare lunch and dinner items in coordination with the Executive Chef
Prep the line and maintain a well stocked area throughout shift
Understand department standards of food quality and recipe taste
Presents themself professionally, e.g. clean uniforms, well groomed
Maintains up to date knowledge of recipes, procedures and plating for all menu and special items for which one is responsible for
Meets timing standards
Coordinates orders with others, assists coworkers as needed
Works cooperatively with front of house staff to respond to guests needs
Maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety and food safety throughout the shift
As required: stock taking, cleaning, opening and closing tasks; and any other duties designated by the management team or Executive Chef

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year experience
Knowledge of food preparation and controls
Knowledge of kitchen equipment
Knowledge of sanitation quidelines
Knowledge of protein temps
Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
