Job Purpose

To support the effective salon operation of assisting/shampooing for the company and the acquisition and retention of clients by communicating with all clients who engage with the brand, in accordance with our values and standards.

We are a premier upscale beauty and wellness brand in need of an exceptional guest relations coordinator. If you are looking to make an impact and have the passion to help grow our well-respected brand, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

This position reports directly to the guest relation supervisor and works closely with her to build the brand, connect the stylists with customers, both new and existing, to provide exceptional and consistent experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ability to communicate and exude the J. Walker Brand principles in everything you do.
Desire to provide the J. Walker Guest Experience as well as commit to the J. Walker Guest Retention System.
Know how to problem solve in high-energy situations.
Highly anticipatory person. One that can really see ahead and not be afraid to take action when required.
Being organized is a must.
You must be one who enjoys challenges as there are many moving parts to the company brand and its development toward greater guest relations.
You also must be guest service-centric. Meaning your overall function is to ensure that all aspects of the guest experience flow are occurring on a daily basis smoothly and effectively.
Emotional Intelligence is what our culture and brand are based on. Knowing how to be emotionally intelligent to ensure guests are taken care of properly and that you can work effectively with upper management and team members.
You will need to know how to easily connect with people. If you are a natural at engaging and connecting then you will really enjoy this role.
This role requires you to be able to switch tasks.
You also must be coachable and open to learning and dedicated to your growth as a team player and person.
Overall this role is for the very magnetic person who commands presence and loves to be in action.

Overall Responsibilities

Answering phones and assisting guests with reservations in an articulate and professional manner.
Following all J. Walker verbiage while communicating with all guests.
Assisting guests in hanging their coats and serving beverages.
Monitoring the salon email and responding or forwarding appropriately.
Handling of financial transactions with the guests.
Educating guests on our promotions, memberships, and packages.
Knowledge of all retail products.
Assisting service providers in rebooking their guest's next appointment.
Tracking of guest special orders.
Maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

Qualifications

Experience Zenoti system or other salon and spa booking software strongly preferred.
Experience in the beauty and wellness industry or any other guest service-oriented industry.
Computer skills - word, excel, PowerPoint with ability to learn salon software systems.
Experience with sales/merchandising is a plus as well as basic knowledge of how to post on social media.
College degree preferred but not required.
