Medical Receptionist Needed for our Tallapoosa Location!

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist with insurance experience to join our fast-paced, very busy healthcare practice. This role requires a professional who thrives in a busy environment, provides exceptional customer service, and has a strong understanding of medical office operations and insurance benefits. This job requires you to be able to interpret patient benefits for specialist services. Position hours: Monday and Wednesday: 8:30 am - 6 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 12 pm- 6 pm and Friday 8:30 am - 4 pm. Lunch 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm MWF.

Experience Requirements:

5+ years of experience in medical office management and medical reception is preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare, chiropractic, pain management, rehabilitation, orthopedic, or medical office setting preferred
Excellent computer and typing skills

Responsibilities:

Conduct daily front office operations and patient flow.
Provide outstanding patient service and maintain a welcoming environment
Manage scheduling, patient communication, and front desk operations
Understand, verify, and interpret insurance benefits accurately for patients and staff
Assist with insurance-related questions, authorizations, and benefit explanations
Ensure accuracy in documentation, patient information, and office systems
Coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting
Support office organization, workflow efficiency, and team communication
Handle patient concerns professionally and compassionately

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of medical insurance benefits and eligibility interpretation
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies
Proven ability to multitask efficiently in a busy office environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Professional demeanor with a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software preferred
