Full Job Description

Manufacturing in Traverse City, MI – Made in the USA.

As a CNC Skilled Machinist, you will be integral to our manufacturing operations. NVE will provide all the necessary tools to be successful; candidates will possess a positive attitude, a high mechanical aptitude and desire to be part of a successful team. Candidates must possess the skills necessary to set-up programs; read and understand G, M and Conversational Coding on various mills and lathes from Okuma, Haas, and Mazak manufactures.

Primary Responsibilities and Key Qualifications to include, but not limited to:

Read and interpret technical documents and drawings of parts needing to be machined.
Knowledge and ability to read calipers and micrometers and any other measuring device needed to preform job.
Verify measurements of finished product meet specifications using standard measuring tools.
Drill, shape, grind and smooth/polish parts.
Machine setup.
Broad knowledge and understanding of all machining principals.
Experience in using electrical, air and manual tools.
Ability and willingness to follow directions and work independently with a strong attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Positive attitude and the ability to work in a highly motivated team driven environment.

Must have 3 - 5 years experience.

Must have reliable transportation.
