Full Job Description

Commencement Bay Corrugated is a leading provider in the corrugated packaging industry, delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-impact packaging solutions to clients across diverse sectors. CBC has a reputation for our commitment to quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction. Our top-of-the-line equipment allows us to manufacture unique box designs and custom graphic requirements with the highest quality.

We are seeking to add a part-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to our established Accounting team in Orting, WA. This position is an on-site position (it is not remote or hybrid). Position start date: mid - late September.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will be detail orientated, accurate, and organized as this position is responsible for all Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing (electronic/paperless), credit memos, and cash receipts and collections.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Process customer invoices and credits daily.
Process daily cash receipts.
Pursue collections of outstanding invoices.
Regularly communicates payment status updates and consults with Accounting Supervisor on status of accounts.
Adds new customers and edits/updates existing customer information.
Provides sales reports to sales representatives throughout the month.
Maintains customer reseller permits.
Provides month end closing reports related to Accounts Receivable.
Provides backup and support to Accounting team and the Company when needed.
Follows all safety rules and Company policies and works well in a team environment.
Troubleshoots problems and works with team to resolve issues as needed.
Other tasks and projects, as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

Minimum of a high school diploma/GED equivalent
Technical training or coursework in accounting at the college level or technical school preferred.
1-2 years of experience in accounting with an emphasis on Accounts Receivable preferred. A combination of experience and/or education may substitute above requirements.
Basic math competency required.
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experienced and skilled with computers, including use of Outlook, Excel, Word (Windows). Learns new software and programs easily.
Has a working knowledge of general office equipment.
Can work under pressure, multitask, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
Able to work in a team environment.
Able to sit and/or stand at a desk with a computer terminal for duration of workday.

Pre-Employment Requirements: Candidates selected for employment will be required, after receiving a conditional offer of employment, to successfully complete a criminal background check, a job-related consumer credit report, and a pre-employment drug test (marijuana not included), consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Authorization and required disclosures will be provided before any consumer report is obtained.

This is a part-time position with a Monday - Friday schedule of approximately 5 hours per day, with a start time between 8am-9am. Additional hours required during month end closing (7-8 hours per day for 1-2 days per month during month end closing). The pay range for this position is $23-$26 per hour, depending on experience and skill level. Part-time employees, working at least 20 hours per week, are eligible to participate in the company sponsored health insurance plan after 60 days of employment.
