Full Job Description

Sales Support Specialist

Department: Sales Support
Reports to: Head of Customer Support
Schedule: Full-time (One weekend day required)

Position Summary

Olive Tree People is seeking an experienced Sales Support Specialist to support our customers, consultants, and Sales organization through email, chat, and phone.

This is a highly collaborative, solution-oriented role for someone who takes ownership, communicates with professionalism and empathy, and works effectively across departments to resolve complex issues. In addition to providing exceptional support, this role assists with onboarding and training new team members, contributes to weekly operational reporting, and serves as a trusted resource for consultant account and compensation inquiries.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Zendesk, Shopify, and Exigo, possesses exceptional communication skills, and can balance customer-facing responsibilities with operational projects and reporting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional and timely support to customers and consultants while maintaining a 24-hour response time SLA
Support customers and consultants through email, live chat, and phone
Resolve account, order, shipping, payment, product, and consultant business inquiries
Research complex issues and identify thoughtful, policy-aligned solutions
Explain consultant compensation plans, commissions, bonuses, and incentive programs with confidence and accuracy
Assist consultants in understanding commission statements, qualification requirements, and account activity
Accurately document all customer and consultant interactions in Zendesk
Manage orders and customer information within Shopify
Research consultant accounts and business activity within Exigo
Assist with onboarding, coaching, and training new Sales Support team members
Share ownership of weekly operational reporting, including warehouse reporting and the weekly Packer Report
Review and validate reporting data for accuracy and consistency
Identify discrepancies, recurring issues, and opportunities for process improvement
Meet established productivity, quality, and reporting deadlines
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of customer, consultant, and company data
Support product launches, promotions, and other high-volume business initiatives

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in Customer Support, Sales Support, or Customer Experience
Hands-on experience with Zendesk
Hands-on experience with Shopify
Experience using Exigo
Experience supporting customers through email, live chat, and phone
Experience explaining consultant compensation plans, commissions, bonus structures, or incentive programs
Experience training, coaching, mentoring, or onboarding team members
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience working with operational reports, spreadsheets, and data analysis
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Availability to work one weekend day as part of a regular weekly schedule

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting a direct selling, network marketing, affiliate, or social selling organization
Experience supporting a premium beauty, wellness, or consumer products brand
Experience with international customer or consultant support
Knowledge of consultant genealogy, commissions, enrollment processes, and promotional programs
Experience interpreting and communicating compensation plans
