Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, inquiries, and guest needs in a professional and efficient manner. This role serves as the primary point of contact for guests and plays a key part in ensuring a positive and welcoming hotel experience.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services

Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
Handle check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and room key distribution.
Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns.
Resolve guest issues or escalate to management when necessary.

Reservations & Communication

Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications.
Answer phone calls and emails in a courteous and efficient manner.
Communicate guest requests to appropriate departments.
Maintain accurate guest records and billing information.

Credit Card Handling/Administrative Duties

Process payments, deposits, refunds, and folio adjustments.
Reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
Prepare reports, logs, and documentation as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.

Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
Verify guest identification and adhere to privacy and confidentiality standards.
Comply with company policies, uniform guidelines, and service standards.
This position does NOT require a health card, as it does not involve handling food or beverages.

Qualifications

Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred. Minimum one year experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient with computers and reservation systems (training provided).
Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Frequent walking, bending, and reaching.

Work Environment

Hotel front desk and lobby areas.
Requires availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Interaction with guests, staff, and management in a busy service environment.

Schedule: Monday 7 am – 5:30 pm, Tuesday – Friday 7 am – 3 pm

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
