Overview
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sous Chef, a vital leadership role dedicated to elevating the dining experience through exceptional food quality, team management, and operational excellence. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure impeccable food presentation, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a fast-paced, fine dining environment while mentoring and inspiring your team to deliver outstanding service.

Duties

Assist in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food production, safety procedures, and efficient workflow.
Oversee inventory control and food ordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.
Lead menu planning efforts in collaboration with the culinary team, incorporating seasonal ingredients and dietary considerations.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas.
Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes for large groups.
Support restaurant management by monitoring shift performance, managing labor costs, and resolving any operational issues promptly.

Requirements

Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong background in food production and kitchen management.
Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience leading culinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, dietary requirements, and sanitation practices.
Hands-on experience with inventory management, cost control, and menu planning.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
Skilled in catering coordination, banquet service, and large-scale food preparation.
