Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches, salads, and hot dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to strict food safety and sanitizing protocols to maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, poachers, braising pots, and knives with skill and safety awareness
Assist in menu planning by suggesting new sandwich ideas or modifications based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
Maintain high-volume production standards during peak hours while ensuring quality control and timely service
Support food production by portioning ingredients accurately, cooking items to proper temperatures, and garnishing plates attractively
Follow all food safety management practices, including proper storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures to uphold health regulations

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
Culinary experience with skills in grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques is advantageous
Familiarity with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs
Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in food preparation methods such as food handling and meal assembly
Experience working in high-volume kitchens or catering environments will help you excel in this role
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices is essential for maintaining hygiene standards
A background in fine dining or restaurant experience can enhance your ability to deliver exceptional customer service through quality food presentation
