Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will participate in daily kitchen operations, ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety, and be party of a team of line cooks to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your expertise in food preparation, menu execution, and kitchen management will be vital in creating memorable meals that delight our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced, fine dining environment while inspiring and mentoring fellow kitchen staff.

Duties

Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the kitchen line, ensuring efficient food preparation and timely service
Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations
Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control to optimize quality and cost-effectiveness
Supervise kitchen staff, providing training on culinary techniques, knife skills, and food safety protocols
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant operations within a fine dining or upscale setting
Strong culinary skills with expertise in food handling, meal preparation, and plating techniques
Demonstrated leadership ability to manage a team of cooks in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide practices is a plus
Experience with menu planning, catering services, and food safety regulations
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Prior dietary or food service experience preferred but not required
