Full Job Description

We are a growing small business seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable Part-Time Bookkeeper to help maintain accurate financial records and support our day-to-day accounting needs.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently and autonomously, while knowing when to raise questions or flag items that need clarification. We are looking for someone who communicates questions in an organized, efficient way rather than requiring frequent oversight.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records Record and categorize expenses and transactions
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Review accounts for discrepancies or items requiring clarification
Organize questions and outstanding items for efficient review with the owner/management
Track and organize bills, receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation
Assist with accounts payable and other routine bookkeeping functions
Gather bills, receipts, or financial paperwork from the business location when
Maintain organized digital and/or physical financial records
Coordinate with the business owner, accountant, payroll provider, or other financial professionals as needed
Help establish and maintain efficient bookkeeping processes as the business grows

Ideal Candidate

Previous bookkeeping experience required
Strong QuickBooks Online experience required
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Able to identify discrepancies and proactively raise questions communicates clearly and efficiently
Reliable, discreet, and comfortable handling confidential financial information
Experience working with a small or growing business is a plus
Local availability for occasional on-site document or bill collection preferred
Professional references required

Position Details

Part-time, approximately 5-10 hours per week
Flexible schedule
Combination of independent/remote work with occasional on-location needs
Hours and responsibilities may evolve as the business grows
We are looking for someone who can become a reliable, long-term bookkeeping partner as the business continues to grow.

Pay: From $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 10.0 per week

Work Location: In person
