Media Buyer / Creative Strategist — DTC
Full-Time · Remote (United States) · Reports to the Founder - Mintads Inc · $110,000–$130,000 base + performance bonus
About Us
Founded in late 2018, we are a deeply vertically integrated direct-to-consumer supplements operator. Vertical integration is the heart of how we operate, and we mean it literally — every link in the chain is ours. The funnels and storefronts that do the selling, the CRM that captures and converts, the payment processing that settles the money, the facilities that manufacture the products, and the companies that fulfill and ship them: all of it, in-house. Several thousand orders move through that stack every single day — a new sale roughly every twenty seconds, around the clock.
That stack is a group of vertically integrated companies: Rocket Systems, yourlabelhere.com Delivery Group, Viking Nutrition, MintAds, and SwissCRM. You will be hired by and work within MintAds — the team that owns paid media and creative for our supplement brands.
We are now building an in-house paid social operation for our supplement brands — Vykee Nutrition among them. The funnels, the engineering team, and the data infrastructure already exist and perform. What doesn’t exist yet is the traffic engine you will build: the content and the Meta spend. This role is the first hire of that operation, and it owns the whole thing.
The Role
You own paid social end to end — the creative AND the ad account. No pod, no handoffs, no separate media team, no ceremony. You decide what ads get made, you judge whether they’re good enough to ship, and you place and manage every ad yourself. One person, one number: profitable spend.
This is the role for the operator who got tired of writing briefs that someone else’s media buyer mangled — or buying media against creative they had no say in. Here both levers are in your hands, along with the support to pull them fast.
Books here ramp to $1–5M/month per buyer. If that number excites you rather than scares you, keep reading — the compensation is built so that scale pays you directly, uncapped.
What You Own
- The number. CPA/ROAS on paid social is yours. Budgets, campaign structure, kill/scale decisions, daily — you run the Meta account personally.
- What gets made. Concepts, hooks, and angles from performance data and competitor mining — not taste. You write the briefs and scripts; AI generates the volume at your direction.
- The quality bar. You watch what’s beating us in the market. Our ads match or beat that caliber or they don’t ship — you’re the judge, and “good enough” is your call to make and defend.
- The creators. You decide the creator spec and pick the faces — who reads as credible selling our products to our buyers. You choose them; your coordinator books them.
- Compliance. Supplements: you know Meta’s health and restricted-category policies and FDA/FTC claim boundaries, and you build creative that performs without burning accounts.
- Your team. A creator operations coordinator (and, at volume, an editor) reporting to you — hired by you, in your first 60 days.
Your Team — what comes off your plate
You are the only US hire and the only person in this operation who reports to the founder. Everything administrative is designed to move off your desk fast:
- Creator Operations Coordinator (your first hire, ~month 2). Reports to you. Runs creator outreach and shortlists to your spec, booking, contracts, usage rights, payments admin, deliverable chasing, footage intake, and the AI editing tools that cut raw footage into ad variations. You judge and choose; they execute and chase. You define the role after your first month of doing it yourself, and you interview and pick the person.
- Editor (later, when volume demands it). Reports to you. Added only when output outgrows the AI editing pipeline.
- Engineering & data (already exists). Our in-house AI engineering team builds and runs the funnels receiving your traffic, plus tracking, pixels/CAPI, and dashboards. You request; they ship. You never build a landing page or wire a pixel.
- Reporting (already automated). AI agents generate the daily and weekly reporting from the dashboards. You add judgment, not spreadsheets. One weekly review with the founder; everything else is async.
How We Work
- AI-first, and we mean it. Scripts, hook variations, editing, versioning, reporting — production labor is delegated to AI tools and agents. Your job is direction and judgment. Someone who insists on hand-crafting every deliverable cannot hit the volume this role demands.
- Small team, zero ceremony. No sprints, no scrum, no status meetings. Output is visible daily on the boards: ads shipped, live links, numbers.
- Scoreboard: profitable spend, net-new ads shipped per week, creative win rate. The bonus is tied to it.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6+ years running paid social for DTC direct response — at a performance agency or in-house — where you personally managed the ad accounts AND drove the creative. Both halves, demonstrated, with numbers.
- Real experience in supplements, health & wellness, or a similar reviewed direct-response vertical. You have lived Meta health policy and rebill economics — this is not a first-time-in-the-category role.
- You have personally scaled at least one offer past $10K/day profitably, and owned $150K+/month in spend with the ROAS/MER target on your head.
- Fluent in direct-response funnel math: CPA vs. AOV vs. LTV, bundle economics, subscription and rebill cohorts. Our business runs on rebills — you have to think past the first sale.
- A portfolio of shipped Meta ads with performance data and your specific role in each.
- You have personally sourced and picked UGC creators/influencers and know what rates, usage rights, and whitelisting look like — even if a coordinator ran the paperwork.
- Volume discipline: you can state your ads-per-month output and the system that sustained it.
- Fluent in creative analytics and testing frameworks (Motion, Northbeam, Foreplay, or equivalents; hooks × bodies × CTAs).
- Hands-on daily AI use in creative production today, and an appetite to push much further.
- Full-time and exclusive. No concurrent clients, no side agency, no freelance book. We hire people, not vendors.
How to Apply — read this carefully
Applications that skip any of the following are not reviewed. This is the first test of the job: following a brief exactly.
1. Five shipped video ads (links or files) — no statics/image ads — with, for each: the offer type, your specific role, and how it performed in terms you can share without breaching confidentiality — win/loss vs. control, relative CPA improvement, or spend range is plenty. We respect NDAs; we do not need another brand’s raw numbers.
2. A few lines on one campaign’s creators: where you found them, what you paid, how usage rights were handled.
3. Three hooks (one line each) for a direct-response ad selling a prostate health supplement to men 50+.
A few lines: which AI tools are in your creative workflow today and what they replaced.
