The Program and Workforce Development Program Coordinator supports Career Technical Education (CTE), Workforce Development, and Instructional areas by coordinating programs, providing administrative support, and advancing training initiatives that support student success, workforce alignment, and revenue growth. The position assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of credit and non-credit programs, prior learning assessment, work-based learning placement, contract training, and workforce partnerships.SALARY: Appropriate placement on Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees Salary Schedule E3, Grade 3 Salary Range $45,220 – $62,710 (12 months, Non-Exempt)Salary step placement is based on experience per Drake State's practice for awarding salary step credits.Work Hours: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Thursday and 8:00 am 12:00 pm on Friday

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Program and Workforce Development Coordinator shall perform the duties as specified in conformity with policies established by the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees and the Drake State Community and Technical College Faculty and Staff Handbook. The Program and Workforce Program Coordinator will also perform duties in accordance with institutional policies and support both instructional and workforce priorities. Key responsibilities include: CTE Program & Workforce Development: Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of CTE and workforce training programsSupport contract training initiatives with business, industry, and community partnersConduct research and stay current on workforce trends to inform program developmentCoordinate course offerings, schedules, and instructor support for training programsCoordinate and track the prior learning assessment and work-based learning effortsAssist with student registration, tracking, and program documentationAdministrative & Operational SupportProvide administrative support to assigned leadership and departmentsManage calendars, meetings, travel, and correspondenceMaintain organized and confidential files and recordsPrepare reports, presentations, and communicationsCreate and maintain office procedures and workflow processesInput departmental requisitions, coordinate and follow through on all purchases.Receive and manage written and verbal communications both internal and external. Work with and coordinate with team members to support campus visits and trainings.Maintain Workforce Center supplies, compose correspondence, and maintain a comprehensive recording system for all documents. Data, Reporting & ComplianceAssist with data collection, tracking, and reporting for programs and grantsMaintain student, instructor, and program records, including performance metricsSupport accreditation, compliance, and grant documentation requirementsMonitor program outcomes and assist in evaluating effectivenessFinancial & Resource CoordinationAssist with requisitions, purchase orders, and supply managementSupport budget tracking, including profit/loss reporting for programsComplete required financial reconciliations and documentationOutreach, Marketing & EventsAssist with planning and coordinating events, trainings, and community engagement activitiesSupport marketing efforts in partnership with public relations to promote programsDevelop outreach materials and presentationsCommunication & CollaborationServe as a liaison between instructional departments, workforce development, and external partnersRespond to communications and provide customer service to students, faculty, and stakeholdersCollaborate with the college recruiter and career placement coordinator Participate in college committees and collaborative initiativesDutiesSupport institutional priorities related to student success, workforce readiness, and community engagementPerform additional duties as assigned by the Dean of CTE/Workforce Development, Dean of Instruction, and/or PresidentJob description may be modified or altered at any time by management.
