Full Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and organized Paralegal /Legal Assistant to join our team in the primary area of family law.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the management of complex projects from start to finish, including preparing and organizing files and documents.
- Perform data entry duties with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PC Law and providing clerical support to the legal team, including preparing and filing documents, and managing paperwork.
- Write and edit documents, including correspondence, pleadings and settlement documents.

- Ensure all documents are properly managed and stored using document management systems.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary education in law, paralegal studies, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a paralegal or in a related administrative role is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Experience with document management systems is an asset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread documents accurately.
- Experience with project management and interviewing is an asset.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely.
