Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a Dependable, Organized, Self Motivated, Ministry-Minded individual to serve as Ministry Assistant.

This position plays a vital role in supporting the Pastors, Church Staff, Deacons, all Committees and Congregation through administrative, communication, and clerical responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and a heart to serve in a Church setting.

Responsibilities:

· Provide administrative support to the Pastors and church leadership.

· Answer phones, respond to emails, and greet visitors as well as members in a friendly, Christ-like manner.

· Prepare weekly Church Bulletins for Sunday and Prayer list for Wednesday and Sunday.

· Maintain Church Membership records and databases as requested.

· Maintain Church Calendar, Schedule church events and coordinate facility use.

· Order and maintain office supplies.

· Attend staff meetings if requested and church business meetings.

· Perform other projects as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

· Strong personal Christian faith consistent with Southern Baptist beliefs and values.

· Commitment to and in agreement with Statement of Faith of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

· High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred).

· Minimum of 3 Years prior office experience preferred, Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based programs.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to learn specific Church related computer applications.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with a friendly, servant-hearted attitude.

· Ability to work as a team member towards specific goals.

· It is expected that that this person is an active follower of Jesus Christ and will become an active member of PVBC after probationary period.

Work Schedule:

· This is considered a Part Time position 9:00AM- 4:00 PM Monday–Thursday, 1 Hour lunch. (Some Flexibility).

· As well as other times as requested by Pastors; Wednesday services and Sunday services attendance are expected.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17,000.00 - $18,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
