Full Job Description

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the execution of key accounting functions, including assisting in month-end closing, cash collections/forecasting, accounts payables, journal entries, and financial reporting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Collaborate with Corporate Controller, to help prepare monthly financial reporting packages and support annual audit work
Support Accounts Payable through reviewing and processing invoices for job costing, accuracy, and completeness; prepare and conduct weekly check runs
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
Support Accounts Receivables through collaboration with Project Managers to ensure timely billing, maintain accurate financial records and manage payments
Maintain accurate and organized records for auditing purposes
Manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to evaluate the impact of business decisions while ensuring accuracy and compliance
Participate in cross-functional projects, offering financial analysis and insights for business initiatives and special ad hoc projects.
Provide support to the Controller and accounting department as needed

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
4-6 years’ experience in various accounting functions
Advanced Excel skills
Demonstrated experience in accounting, financial analysis, and financial reporting
Construction accounting understanding is a plus

SKILLS:

Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize, and manage deadlines under pressure
Self-motivated and highly organized
Ability to work with people at all organizational levels
ComputerEase experience is a strong plus
