Full Job Description

Shipping Clerk Summary/Objective: The shipping clerk is responsible for helping the overall flow of the warehouse by working with drivers and to be a liaison between the office and the warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Signing in and out drivers with all necessary paperwork
Assign driver to appropriate doors
Develop good working relationships with drivers, dispatchers, brokers and customers
Communicates with assigned CSRs, Leads, GM and others daily
Logs information efficiently and accurately into WMS system
Able to learn and navigate through our WMS system/software
Prepares, compiles and sorts documents for data entry
Checks all documents for accuracy
Obtains further information for incomplete documents
Double check warehouse paperwork for accuracy
Help prioritize work orders for GM

Qualification Requirements:

Bilingual
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in warehousing / logistics preferred
Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills
Great attention to detail
Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices

Physical Demands and Abilities:

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
Frequently bend to file and maintain files
Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:45am. to 5:00pm. This schedule may be subject to change. Employee will occasionally be required to work extra hours or days, depending on workloads.
