Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Patient Care Coordinator, where your role is vital in creating a seamless and welcoming experience for patients. In this energetic position, you will serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring patients receive exceptional support from their initial appointment scheduling to follow-up care. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help foster a positive environment, making every patient feel valued and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to patient well-being while developing your expertise in medical administrative support.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using our medical office systems
Verify patient information, and update electronic health records accurately and efficiently
Communicate clearly with patients regarding pre-appointment instructions and follow-up procedures
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely appointment management
Manage incoming calls, inquiries, and messages with professionalism and positive energy
Maintain organized records of patient interactions, appointments, and administrative documentation
Support the medical team by preparing necessary paperwork and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
Must be willing to travel on ocassion to our Wyandotte location for monthly meetings or shift opportunities
Nights and weekends may be requested on occasion

Experience

Previous experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is preferred
Familiarity with medical terminology to facilitate accurate communication and documentation
Strong background in medical administrative support or office experience demonstrating organizational skills
Experience working in a dental or healthcare office is a plus but not required
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
