Position Title: Risk Assessment & Reliability Lead

Location: Remote

About Us As an emerging leader in nuclear engineering, our startup is developing revolutionary reactor technology to secure safe and abundant energy for future generations. We are seeking a highly motivated Chemical Engineer III to join our dynamic team and help us develop new molten salt technologies needed for our reactor design.

Job Summary Nuclear Safety Systems Integration Lead reports to the Director of Nuclear Safety and Licensing. This lead is a cross-discipline position. The primary intent is to support the code development effort of the nuclear safety department. The main need supplied by this position is to adapt information technology to the nuclear safety department. This position will support the database integration between nuclear safety, licensing, and the rest of the company.  

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development effort for the systems integration of nuclear safety applications
Lead in the development of the architectural support of nuclear safety and licensing IT related systems
Provide input into the development of databases in support of the nuclear safety discipline.

Minimum Qualifications

BS in Nuclear / Mechanical Engineering or Information Technology from an accredited university 
At least 10 years of experience in IT systems integration within the nuclear industry

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in nuclear or mechanical engineering from an accredited university 
At least 15 years of experience in IT systems integration within the nuclear industry
Familiarity with MOOSE or other PYTHON based coupling of nuclear safety codes
Experience in lead roles
