Position summary

Breland Benefits & Insurance is expanding and looking for licensed health and life insurance professionals who want to build their business as independent agents while working remotely.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not a salaried position. Agents have the flexibility to set their own schedules, define their own markets, and determine whether they want to build a part-time business or pursue insurance sales as a full-time career.

Breland Benefits is non-captive. Our agents have access to a broad portfolio of health, life, accident, supplemental, and employee-benefit solutions from multiple insurance companies and partners. Our goal is simple: help clients understand their options and recommend appropriate solutions based on their individual circumstances.

We are particularly interested in professional, self-motivated individuals who are comfortable communicating by telephone and video, can work independently, and want the freedom of running their own insurance business without traditional sales quotas.

What You'll Do

Agents may:

Develop new prospects and follow up with prospective clients.
Conduct inbound and outbound telephone conversations.
Schedule consultations with prospective clients.
Educate clients about available insurance options.
Present insurance solutions by telephone or video conference.
Assist clients with insurance applications and enrollment.
Follow up on outstanding application requirements.
Maintain relationships with existing clients.
Participate in online training and continuing product education.
Build referral relationships and develop their own markets.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

Properly licensed to sell applicable health and life insurance products, or able to obtain the required licensing before conducting insurance sales.
Professional and comfortable communicating with clients.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Comfortable using computers, email, video conferencing, and online enrollment systems.
Willing to learn new products, technology, and sales approaches.
Interested in building long-term client relationships rather than relying on high-pressure sales techniques.
Able to maintain any required Errors & Omissions insurance and applicable licenses.

Prior insurance or sales experience is valuable, but our training and support systems are designed to help motivated agents learn the Breland Benefits approach.

Some agents are looking for a profitable part-time business. Others want to build a substantial full-time insurance practice. Breland Benefits can accommodate both.

Compensation is commission-based. Actual earnings vary significantly based on experience, production, products sold, market development, time invested, and other factors. There is no guarantee of any particular level of earnings.

Successful agents may also build recurring renewal income and pursue additional opportunities within the Breland Benefits organization.
