Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking for an experienced CDL Truck Drivers with specifically Log Trucking experience. Most travel will be based out of Northern California, and need to be willing to travel mostly up and down the west coast.

Duties

Operate Class A CDL vehicles, including self-loader trucks and mule train configurations, in a safe and efficient manner
Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials using onboard self-loading equipment
Perform mule train operations, including proper setup, hookup, and breakdown of trailers
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
Secure loads in compliance with all safety and weight requirements
Navigate forest roads, job sites, mills, and customer locations safely and professionally
Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and site personnel
Maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and required documentation
Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and environmental regulations
Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers, landowners, and the public

Work Environment

Outdoor job sites, forest roads, mills and customer locations
Exposure to dust, noise, weather extremes, and heavy equipment
Safety-sensitive position requiring constant situational awareness

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with current DOT medical card
Proven experience operating self-loading trucks
Familiarity with different truck types such as self-loading, mule train, flatbeds, and tankers
Knowledge of DOT regulations related to hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and safety standards
Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, precision, and customer service excellence

Preferred Qualifications

Loffing, forestry or heavy-haul experience
Experience operating off-road or rugged terrain environments
Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
