Full Job Description

Job Summary

Infinity High Purity Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex process piping, specialty gas, and industrial construction projects from award through final turnover. This position is responsible for coordinating engineering, procurement, fabrication, quality, and field installation while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer specifications.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing technically demanding industrial construction projects with a strong emphasis on process piping systems. Experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, aerospace, or other high-purity process facilities is highly preferred.

This role requires exceptional leadership, technical aptitude, and the ability to successfully coordinate multidisciplinary teams while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, documentation, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Lead all phases of complex process piping and industrial construction projects from kickoff through final commissioning and project closeout.
Develop and maintain project execution plans, budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and manpower forecasts.
Coordinate engineering, fabrication, quality assurance, procurement, logistics, subcontractors, and field installation teams to achieve project milestones.
Manage customer expectations through regular meetings, progress reporting, schedule updates, and proactive issue resolution.
Review and interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure successful project execution.
Coordinate fabrication schedules, material procurement, and installation sequencing for process piping and specialty gas systems.
Monitor project costs, productivity, and schedule performance while identifying and mitigating project risks.
Manage change orders, contract administration, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, OSHA regulations, quality requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
Coordinate field activities with owners, general contractors, mechanical contractors, commissioning teams, inspectors, and vendors.
Conduct regular site visits to verify construction quality, installation progress, and adherence to project requirements.
Mentor project engineers and junior project managers while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
7+ years of experience managing industrial process piping or mechanical construction projects.
Demonstrated experience managing projects in the approximate range of $2 million to $25 million in contract value, with full responsibility for financial performance, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Extensive knowledge of process piping systems, specialty gas distribution systems, and industrial mechanical construction.
Experience managing projects involving high-purity gas systems, orbital welding, tube fabrication, pressure testing, leak testing, and system commissioning is highly preferred.
Experience working in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, aerospace, or other highly regulated process industries is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of life safety systems associated with specialty gas installations, including gas detection, toxic gas monitoring, emergency shutdown (ESD) systems, ventilation interlocks, and related safety controls, is preferred.
Strong understanding of construction scheduling using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent scheduling software.
Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and other construction management software.
Working knowledge of applicable industry standards such as ASME B31.3, NFPA requirements, OSHA regulations, and other relevant mechanical and process piping codes.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical documentation.
Proven experience managing subcontractors, fabrication shops, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong financial management skills including estimating review, budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and change management.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
