Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Therapist, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychological support and therapy services to diverse populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise, foster meaningful change, and contribute to improved patient outcomes through evidence-based practices. You will work in a collaborative environment dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health care across outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings.

Duties

The licensed Therapist/Counselor has the requisite skills, qualifications, and experience in providing services to HTS. Therapist/Counselor agrees to provide the following services, but not limited to:
Maintain caseload.
Review on an initial and on-going basis, Informed Consent.
Complete clinical documentation to include diagnostic assessment, treatment plan, DLA-20, CAGE, PHQs, crisis plan, individual and/group psychotherapy progress notes, etc.
Conduct diagnostic assessments and participate in the development of treatment plans.
Develop and review diagnoses, treatment plans, and other required documentation, including monitoring of treatment progress and follow-ups.
Provide therapy/counseling (individual, family, and/or group).
Maintain accurate, quality, and timely clinical records and documentation of clinical activities in accordance with COMAR regulations.
Make recommendations for treatment, outreach, transfers, and discharge services.
Engage in teaming with internal and external team members.
Conduct and document care coordination (internal and external).
Complete informational notes on all non-billable services.
Maintain independent licensure, participate in group supervision, and attend all trainings.
Uphold ethical standards and professional responsibilities.
Reports all incidents to the QI/Compliance division.
Advocate for clients and client needs (internal and external).
Acts as an Ambassador of HTS in the community
Maintains compliance with HR Records
Participate in Performance Appraisals

Experience

Valid licensure as a Licensed Therapist or equivalent in the respective state or region.
Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, social work practices, and psychopharmacology integration when applicable.
Demonstrated ability to work with children, adolescents, adults, and elderly populations in outpatient clinics.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly preferred.
Strong background in crisis management and crisis intervention strategies within behavioral health or hospital environments.
Telehealth experience is advantageous for providing flexible access to services while maintaining clinical quality standards.
Spanish speaking is a plus!
