Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Expo/Food Runner and become a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will be the bridge between the kitchen and the guests, ensuring that food is prepared, plated, and served with precision and enthusiasm. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will help create a lively, welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and plating to ensure dishes meet quality standards before they reach guests
Serve food and beverages efficiently, accurately, and with a friendly demeanor
Buss tables by clearing dishes promptly and maintaining a clean dining area
Relay orders from servers to kitchen staff using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
Support kitchen staff with food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures to uphold food safety standards
Ensure timely delivery of orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables while maintaining presentation quality
Provide excellent guest service by addressing questions, accommodating special requests, and ensuring guest satisfaction
Assist with banquet setups and service when needed in larger event settings
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and resolve any issues quickly

Experience

Previous experience in casual or fine dining restaurant environments.
Familiarity with food handling, safety protocols, and basic cooking or food preparation is a plus
Experience with POS systems such as Clover or Breadcrumb enhances efficiency in order processing
Prior banquet or catering experience is advantageous for supporting large events
Strong customer service skills combined with excellent communication abilities are essential for creating memorable guest experiences
Knowledge of hospitality standards gained through hotel or culinary experience is beneficial
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
