Demand Manager

Westell | Aurora, IL | On-Site | Full-Time

Meet Your New Role

Ever watched a great conductor bring an orchestra together — every section coming in at exactly the right moment, nothing rushed, nothing late? That's you, but instead of violins and trumpets, you're syncing up Sales, Product Management, Purchasing, Production, and Engineering. And instead of applause, you get on-time deliveries and a supply chain that actually makes sense.

We're looking for a Demand Manager to lead the monthly S&OP meeting, own the forecast, and be the person everyone comes to when they need to know "will we actually have this by the promise date?"

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Run the Show (S&OP Leadership)

Organize and lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning meeting — the room where forecasting meets reality
Help shape the strategies and policies that keep demand planning sharp

Build the Crystal Ball (Forecasting)

Develop, maintain, and continuously sharpen forecasts across the product line
Dig into historical sales trends and demand drivers, build statistical models, and pressure-test your own results
Get sharp on product lines and customer profiles so your forecasts are grounded in reality, not guesswork

Keep Everyone on the Same Page

Partner with Product Management and Sales to gather and validate forecasts
Work with Purchasing to make sure material lead times actually match demand
Coordinate with Planning to confirm production capacity can deliver on what's promised
Be the connective tissue across the entire order-to-delivery chain — removing roadblocks before they become fire drills

Keep an Eye on the Details

Ensure Buy/Build-to-Order products are properly entered into the MRP system and backed by a solid production plan
Monitor daily sales orders to confirm they line up with forecasts, production plans, and purchase orders

What Makes You Great at This

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years in demand planning, supply chain, or similar in a manufacturing/distribution setting
2+ years leading the S&OP process — you know how to run a room and drive consensus
Comfortable in MRP/ERP systems and forecasting methodologies (SAP experience? Even better)
A natural cross-functional collaborator who can rally sales, purchasing, production, and engineering around a shared goal
Sharp analytical and problem-solving instincts
Strong communication skills — because half this job is getting people to agree on a plan

On-site at our Aurora, IL facility
Regular sitting, standing, bending, and walking
Visual and auditory ability sufficient for clear written and verbal communication
