Position Summary:

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our company facilitates cultural exchange programs that allow exchange visitors to gain valuable international experience, learn new perspectives, and build friendships within U.S. communities.

As a Support Associate in the Austin region, you will provide support to exchange visitors in our BridgeUSA Summer Work Travel, Intern, and Trainee programs, helping ensure their experiences are successful and enriching.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Participant Support & Welfare

· Serve as a primary point of contact for exchange visitors, providing timely, empathetic, and solution-oriented support.

· Conduct regular wellness check-ins and ad-hoc support to monitor adjustment, safety, and overall participant experience.

· Guide participants on practical needs such as housing, transportation, banking, Social Security, and workplace expectations.

· Identify early signs of distress or challenges and escalate to management as appropriate.

Case Management & Issue Resolution

· Manage participant cases from intake through resolution, documenting all interactions in the case management system.

· Assess and triage participant issues, escalating urgent or high-risk situations (e.g., mental health, safety, workplace conflicts) according to protocol.

· Coordinate with external agencies (police, hospitals, SSA, mental health providers) when necessary.

· Facilitate conflict resolution between participants and host employers while maintaining professionalism and program compliance.

Orientation & Education

· Conduct in-person orientations covering program expectations, rules, participant

rights/responsibilities, and available resources.

· Deliver culturally sensitive guidance to ensure participants understand and navigate U.S. systems and workplace culture.

Cultural Exchange Programming

· Research, promote, organize, and host cultural events to facilitate meaningful exchange opportunities.

· Track participation and gather feedback to improve cultural engagement initiatives.

· Maintain relationships with local community organizations that support participants and host employers.
Compliance & Reporting

· Ensure accurate and timely SEVIS reporting, including program validations, address updates, and site-of-activity changes.

· Monitor participant and host compliance with U.S. Department of State regulations and organizational policies.

· Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, or regulatory requests.

Emergency Response

· Participate in after-hours on-call rotations to respond to emergencies.

· Follow established emergency protocols and provide thorough follow-up and documentation.

· Remain calm and professional while resolving urgent situations. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

· Work cross-functionally with Admissions, Compliance, Host Relations, and Support teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

· Report trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement to leadership.

· Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills in regulatory compliance, crisis management, and cultural competency.

Other Duties as Assigned

· Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by management to support the success of the program, participants, and host employers.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Required – Minimum

· Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service, international exchange, education, hospitality, or a related field.

· Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills; ability to work effectively with participants from diverse backgrounds.

· Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and solution-focused when managing challenging situations.

· Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and CRM/case management systems.

· Excellent verbal and written English communication; additional languages strongly preferred.

· Positive, proactive, and collaborative attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.

· Personal interest in travel, cultural exchange, or experiential learning.

· Valid driver’s license and passport.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
